Keiretsu Forum and EdenTree Join to Bring New Infrastructure Automation Technology to Market
Keiretsu Forum Portfolio Company, EdenTree Technologies, Raises $1.5M in A Round Funding
The Keiretsu Forum, an investment community of private equity (angel) investors, VCs and corporate investors, today announced its investment in EdenTree Technologies, Inc. [EdenTree], a provider of a new category of solutions that enable complete infrastructure automation of technology laboratories and networks.
EdenTree has closed its A round with $1.5 million in equity funding, with Keiretsu Forum members as lead investors. Members of both the Northern California chapter and the recently formed Southern California Westlake Village chapter participated in the EdenTree investment. Keiretsu Forum member Ron Burr, founder of Netzero and Westlake Venture Partners, led the round.
Keiretsu Forum provides a structured approach to private equity investments, allowing like-minded business leaders to share information on investment opportunities and then make individual investment decisions. In this instance Keiretsu Forum made its investment in EdenTree due to the company's unique model of networked solutions that provide technology companies with dramatically increased efficiencies in laboratories and networks and promote collaboration and information sharing among multiple users and departments.
Randy Williams, founder of the Keiretsu Forum, said "We started Keiretsu Forum in order to provide both capital and resources to high quality, early stage companies like EdenTree. We are pleased to include EdenTree in our growing portfolio of twenty-seven companies, and look forward to continuing to provide our critical mass of support to the company."
Said investor Burr, "EdenTree's technology directly addresses the most overlooked and antiquated component in the network, the patch panel. Not only will this technology increase productivity by saving on labor and underutilized equipment in day-to-day network operations, but it will also increase speed to market, providing customers with quicker ROI on new products."
