EdenTree Technologies and Apcon Announce Joint Selling Agreement

Provide Best-in-Class Integrated Solutions to Network Labs

EdenTree Technologies, innovator of the Connect_ET® lab management application for layer one automation, and Apcon, provider of Intellapatch physical layer switches, today announced a joint selling agreement, under which the companies will each bring integrated solutions, comprised of EdenTree’s Connect_ET software managing Apcon’s Intellapatch hardware, to their customers.

Working together over the last year, the companies have integrated their products and expanded the combined solution with new features and capabilities to meet the ever growing requirements of their common customers in the Storage Area Networking (SAN), Networking Equipment, and Telecom industries. Existing customers of the combined Apcon and EdenTree solution include Cisco Systems, Inc. and QLogic Corp.

“Apcon’s approach to physical layer switching is a great fit for many of EdenTree’s diverse customers,” said Roberta Gonzalez, EdenTree’s vice president of marketing and business development.  “The Intellapatch switch supports a wide variety of interfaces, including Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SONET, and T1, accommodating many customers’ complex requirements.”

EdenTree’s Connect_ET software automates physical reconfigurations of equipment in networks and labs, allowing users to design and apply configurations remotely, recall, share, and schedule those configurations, and track the usage of lab resources.  For large labs such as those at QLogic, a key benefit provided by Connect_ET is that of transparently interconnecting multiple physical layer switches to create large virtual switch matrices.
